This week I was excited to make a connection with another Ripley descendant who has travelled to Yorkshire to conduct research. She kindly shared a number of photos of the Yorkshire countryside, St. Andrews church, and a Ripley grave. I hope I can persuade her to write a section for this website about her trip to Yorkshire. I'm actually surprised how many people have travelled to Yorkshire to do research on the Ripleys. I know Gord Ripley has been several times. The Ripleys from the River Philip that I recently connected with have also been to Yorkshire. By coincidence four of my dance students travelled to Yorkshire to pursue interests in bike touring and folk music so I've been able to see many wonderful photos of the countryside. I still have much research to do in Canada. However, I'm starting to become very interested in Yorkshire...

AuthorHi there! My name is Mallory Burton and I started researching the Ripley family in 2011. I'd describe myself as a careful amateur who's more interested in story than names and dates. I hope you enjoy my website and blog. I also have a public Mallory/Ripley tree on Ancestry with over 4,000 names. To contact me, please comment on any one of my blog posts. Archives
