Notes:
1. Mary Ripley buried near Henry Ripley cannot have died in 1817 as is often reported. A passenger list for the Two Friends indicates that Mary was 4 years old when she arrived in 1774 (CBE), giving her a birth date of about 1770. She was alive to inherit from her father John Fawcett in 1829 and from husband Henry's estate in 1833 (Will Book B). The Will of John Fawsitt 17 Sep 1829 leaves 100 pounds to daughter Mary Ripley (viewable online at Provincial Archives New Brunswick website). I believe this is the grave of Mary Ripley but the death date has been incorrectly reported. See Old Burying Ground (West Amherst) for further discussion of the dates on Mary's gravestone.
2. John's possible middle name of Thomas comes from his daughter Isabella Embree's death certificate. Viewable online here.
