Maccan United Methodist Cemetery
I visited the Maccan United Cemetery on the west bank of the Maccan River in 2017 specifically to photograph the gravestone of John Wood and his wife Elizabeth Ripley. Their stone is almost unreadable and the only way I could identify it was to use the diagram in Susan Hill's book Some Cumberland County Nova Scotia Cemeteries to locate readable graves and count from there. A few additional Woods graves are also included.
Elizabeth Ripley (7 Aug 1798-24 Feb 1882) and John Wood (abt 1796-22 Aug 1845)
Elizabeth was the daughter of William Ripley and Hannah Coates.
