The Harrison Orchard Cemetery, Maccan
The following Ripleys are buried in the Harrison Orchard Cemetery:
William Ripley d. June 19, 1845 and his wife Hannah (Coates) Ripley d. 14 Oct 1817 aged 42 years.
In May of 2021 I learned that Cumberland County Genealogical Society has photographs of these graves which can be obtained for a fee. If you obtain these photographs, please respect copyright and do not post them publicly as the cemetery photographs are a very important source of revenue for the CCGS.
The Harrison Orchard Cemetery is a very small cemetery on private property and the owners no longer permit visitors. I have also heard that the graves are very difficult to find and once, found, are mainly simple stones. In Some Cumberland County Nova Scotia Cemeteries, Susan Hill shows the location of 4 graves including William's and Hannah's. According to a note, these transcriptions above were reported by members of the W. B. Wells Heritage Foundation Staff June 29, 1988. The Cumberland County Museum holds all 35 volumes of the Heritage Foundation cemetery inventory and I hope to view the page for William soon. [May 2012] Susan lists 6 others who are known to be buried there. Among these is Luke Harrison who sold Robert Ripley a farm. In addition, she quotes Ernest Coates who had been told there were 17 graves in the cemetery, some marked only by stones.
Jane E. Ripley, the daughter of William Ripley and Hannah Coates married her first cousin Joseph Harrison in 1849. The Harrison Orchard is located on the old homestead of Joseph's parents. However, the burials of William and Hannah predate their daughter's marriage.
Myrtle Chappell in Fenwick 1778-1978, p. 10 says that William and Hannah are buried "over the river in Maccan in the orchard on the farm of the late Russell Harrison, now operated by Harrison's son-in-law, David Wilson."

Location:
I was unable to locate this cemetery when I visited Amherst in July 2013. The original Harrison Homestead is located on Harrison Road also known as Lower Maccan Road. Randy Harrison, a Harrison descendant, has posted information about the location of the cemetery and photos of the orchard and original homestead on his John Harrison Sarah Lovell Facebook Page. See the August 2014 archive.
