Neil Ripley and his daughter Tracey are descendants of Henry Ripley and Mary Fawcett. Their sugarwoods is located in Fenwick NS just across the highway from where my second great grandfather Andrew C. Ripley had a sugarwoods in the 1800's. If you'd like to see photos and learn more about their ingenious off-grid operation, check out my blog post from several years ago by clicking here.
In a typical sugar season, Ripleys' Sugarwoods might see 1000 customers on a busy Sunday but with social distancing this year they were limited to 5 visitors at a time. If you would like to treat yourself to some unbelievably good maple products, participate in a piece of Ripley history, and support a small family-owned business, consider making an order. To check out their products and prices, join the Ripleys' Sugarwoods Group on FaceBook or you can contact Tracey by email [email protected].
