When I enrolled in a week-long painting workshop in Saint Andrews by the Sea, I knew it was a picturesque sea-side village. I didn't realize how historic a place it was. Saint Andrews was settled by many loyalists and plaques on the numerous historic buildings identify these early settlers. We've had superb weather for painting en plein air all week and great instruction by Poppy Balser. What a lovely place!
