A second visit to Nova Scotia, combined with a holiday/painting trip to PEI is in the works. I'll be in Amherst July 10-13 if anyone wants to connect. I chose those days because the Cumberland County Genealogical Society is only open 4 days a week and I'll probably spend most of my time there or at the museum. I'm starting to amass a huge list of things to do. At the top of the list is looking at the papers of Ernest Coates. Susan Hill tells me there are 8 files on the Ripleys. I'm hoping that Riptide Fly Fishing will be open one of the days because it would be nice to chat with Danny Ripley about flyfishing the River Philip. I also want to find a few wills, research some land titles, photograph a few graves I missed and visit Andrew Ripley's homestead in Fenwick which I have now located. I missed Springhill last time so a visit there is also on the agenda. I plan to connect with Ripley descendants in the River Phillip area. Hmm…maybe I should have planned to stay a month.
